Character Information Name: Bruce Banner Age: 35 Fandom: Marvel Point In Fandom Taken From: Just before the accident Employee or Patient? Doctor Personality Bruce is the exact opposite of the kind of guy you'd expect to turn into a raging green monster, if you expected anyone to.
He's mild-mannered and considerate, if awkward. He'll open doors automatically, help you with your groceries or ask you to lunch so you can avoid the jerk trying to hit on you. Likewise, he appreciates any small kindness shown to him. Just don't expect him to be much good at small talk. Talking logistics and equations and hypotheses he can do, but normal, banal conversation? Not so much.
He's an intellectual, one of those blessed few for whom genius comes naturally. As a result, he takes it for granted. He usually is always right, and he's not used to making mistakes. Some people will tell you that Bruce is too smart for his own good. He tends to hyper-focus, tuning out any and all background noise almost entirely. Including your conversation. Don't take it personally. When he's that focused, he forgets himself as well. Things like eating and sleeping become like an afterthought, to be done after he's finished whatever it is he's doing.
Brief History:Robert Bruce Banner was the son of Dr. Brian Banner, an atomic scientist, and his wife Rebecca. Although Rebecca deeply loved Bruce, who returned her affection, Brian hated the child. An alcoholic, Brian was driven by an insane jealousy of Bruce for being an object of Rebecca's love. Further, Brian believed that his radiation work had altered his DNA and given him a mutant son. Brian finally murdered Rebecca and was placed in a mental hospital. Bruce, a highly withdrawn, intellectual youth, in fact, a child prodigy[1], was raised by his aunt, Mrs. Drake, and internalized his great pain and rage over his childhood sufferings. Eventually, as an adult and a genius in nuclear physics, Banner went to work at a United States Defense Department nuclear research facility at Desert Base, New Mexico. There Banner met General Thaddeus E. "Thunderbolt" Ross, the Air Force officer in command of the base, and his daughter Betty Ross. Banner and Betty eventually fell in love with each other. Banner designed and oversaw construction of the "Gamma Bomb" or "G-bomb," a nuclear weapon possessing a high gamma radiation output. List of Abilities/Powers: None for now PB: Edward Norton
